Go: Sports has given our son so many benefits since he began the program last Spring. The sessions at Go: Sports have been instrumental in changing the way Oliver plays the game of basketball.

His speed and agility have increased ten-fold and helped him become a strong player for Upper Arlington High School. He can jump, rebound and out-run any opponent on the floor. His defense is no longer a weakness. He is a definite force on the court.

It is wonderful to hear comments from friends and family about how much Oliver has improved this year. The coaches at Go: Sports not only teach but support, motivate and build the athlete’s confidence in their athletic ability. It is not hard to get Oliver to attend his sessions at Go: Sports because he knows that he is becoming a better basketball player and is seeing immediate results on the court.

To see our son elevate his game and play with confidence makes the investment into his GO sessions PRICELESS!

“During the fall sports season at Jones middle school, I was awarded the John McQuillan Sportsmanship Award. This award is given to one male and one female athlete who best exemplifies the ideals of sportsmanship, have a good GPA, and perform at their athletic best. This season I held a 4.0 GPA and was captain of the cross country team. I certainly could not have performed at my personal best without the help of Go.”

So, when Parents or Athletes find out that I run an athletic performance training center, they always have a few simple questions for me.

∆ How much can you help my bench?

∆ How much heavier can you help my son’s squat?

∆ How much faster can you make my daughter’s 40?

∆ Should I take Creatine?

Since we approach athletic development so different than everyone, and we live it and breathe it every day, with great success; I forget most parents and athletes have no idea about the benefits of training correctly.

The real question everyone should be asking is: “How can you help me (or my athlete) be a better athlete?”

Isn’t this the real question? An inferior athlete – no matter how strong or fast, has ever been asked to be on a high school, junior high sports team, or won a scholarship to college. (unless it was track)

Here are a few athletic movements to check:

∆ Can the athlete do 8-10 one-legged deep squats with each leg?

∆ Can the athlete do any REAL 1 arm Push-ups?

∆ How fast can your athlete accelerate to full Speed?

∆ How fast can your athlete DEcelerate to from Full Speed, safely?

∆ Do they have the basic movement and coordination skills to be a great athlete?

If you aren’t sure, or the answer is “no” to any of these questions, you might want to look at the training the athlete is doing, and see if there are some HUGE things missing.

You can schedule a Free Orientation and Athletic Eval by just calling (614) 453-1446, or emailing: info@gosportsperformance.com, or filling out this form.

Go be a better athlete!

On Saturday I had the pleasure of taking part in Capital Area Humane Societies 2ND Annual Defend Your Friend 5k Race. The race raised more than $2,000 last year for animal abuse prevention and is expected to have built on that conciderably with this years event. I was introduced to the 200 plus race participants via microphone announcement and was able to get quite a few to come try out our GO: runners warm up. Many couldn’t help but smerk at their bodies clumbsiness while trying our dynamic flexibility motions. Many were in shape “athletic” runners but were amazed at how hard it was to perform these new movements. Its always a good time when I get to expose new athletes to our cutting edge training techniques. The bigger excitement however, was knowing the our gym was able to help not only the athletes, but the thousands of abused animals in Central Ohio as well.
